It must have been a new model. I was ... Read More Rating:  - Buy a better oneThe slide advancement features worked fine, but the laser was weak (to say the least). I had to use a laser pen in addition because the laser couldn't be seen even at close range. Save up a few more dollars and get a better one with a green laser, unless all you need to do is advance the slides. Mine has been replaced. Rating: - Compact and easy to use. Works with Linux.From the pictures given it's hard to know which one you're going to get. I received the one that is all black (no red button). I think this is the better one since the USB adapter on this model is much smaller. There's even a little compartment in the battery case where the USB adapter fits when you're not using it - very convenient.
