This is a good harddrive for the money; you can get cheaper from a lesser-known brand, but I wanted reliability. I had a strange problem with the cable; the short length was OK for me, but after a few months, started getting errors that the drive was not recognized, and backups would occasionally fail. Swapped out the USB cable with a similar one for my camera, and now all is good. Never had a USB cable go bad, and I leave this one hooked up to my laptop dock station, so it's not like it gets moved ... Read More

Purchased this external hard drive to move some of my music out of my computer. No problems whatsoever with the unit. The only thing is that the USB cable that comes with the unit is barely long enough to plug in and sit on top of my computer. For me it worked OK, but for someone that only has the one USB port at the very bottom of their computer, in the back, well it may not be so convenient.

I am very happy with the product.

Read all the previous reviews regarding power use and double cables etc. I didn't experience any of those problems at all.

I just needed an external hard drive to transfer document folders / music / and pictures between my work and personal laptops and it worked great. I have a Toshiba personal laptop and Dell Latitude for work, the external hard drive plugged and played on both of them fine.

Great product. Works just as I hoped. Very easy to install and use. Its simplicity makes it all the more better. Physical size is a plus because it can fit in your pocket, relatively comfortably. 2 thumbs up!
