Editorial Review: Product Description: Skooba's Checkthrough Bag looks and functions like any other high-end business case, but opens and hinges in the middle to separate and isolate the laptop compartment from the rest of the bag. For initial, immediate visual reference, the laptop can be seen by the inspector through a clear window that is exposed when the bag is unfolded. With the window facing up, the bag is sent through x-ray screening. The design of the laptop compartment is such that the image presented to the screener is the same as if the laptop were removed and placed in a bin. The Checkthrough bag and all of its contents can be carried securely with or without the hinge zipped shut, so it can be readied in line, prior to screening. Once through, the traveler can simply pick up the bag and go, zipping it back up on the move or at the gate. Average Rating:
 Rating:  - easy to checkthrough but somewhat clumsyThe bag is all fine, with plenty of space and very easy to go through check points at airport. However, the protective foam that makes the bag look really thick is in the wrong side, not where you put the laptop when check through. This means you want to put your laptop in the foamed side during regular time, but take it out and put into the non-foamed side when going through airports. I really don't understand why it is designed in such a strange way. Rating:  - Just what I wantedI haven't traveled with this bag yet (it just arrived today), but I've traveled with enough other bags internationally to know what I really want. This bag has it all! My 17" MacBook Pro fits into the laptop compartment without a hitch. The multitude of pockets are accessible and visually friendly with mesh screens that allow me to quickly see their contents. I have used it at several US airports without taking the pc out ... Read More Rating: - Easy way to go through security at the airport.I bought this just before a plane trip to Boston. It made my passing through the security check point a breeze as I did not have to remove my laptop & place it in a bin then have to juggle it back in the case after it went through xray. It also has ample room to carry all the attachments & files that I needed plus I was able to put in my purse so I would have only one personal carry on to the plane..But it is on the heavier side even when empty.
