Editorial Review: Product Description: Skooba's Checkthrough Bag looks and functions like any other high-end business case, but opens and hinges in the middle to separate and isolate the laptop compartment from the rest of the bag. For initial, immediate visual reference, the laptop can be seen by the inspector through a clear window that is exposed when the bag is unfolded. With the window facing up, the bag is sent through x-ray screening. The design of the laptop compartment is such that the image presented to the screener is the same as if the laptop were removed and placed in a bin. The Checkthrough bag and all of its contents can be carried securely with or without the hinge zipped shut, so it can be readied in line, prior to screening. Once through, the traveler can simply pick up the bag and go, zipping it back up on the move or at the gate. Average Rating:
 Rating:  - FabulousIt's SO nice to be able to walk through TSA and just unzip the compartment for the computer and sail right through. Fits underneath the seat in front of me on most aircraft, even the tiny Canadair commuter jets. There is only one drawback to this bag: it's heavy, once you load it up with computer, power supply, etc. Wish it had a "backpack" type strap or wheels and a handle to make it easier to haul around when going from security to the gate or gate-to-gate. The bag is not as big as everyone is saying it is. I use it as my carry-on. It holds everything I need and the best part is going thru the check-thru at the airport. One TSA agent even gave me an "alright". Now if you can make a TSA agent smile it must be good. I've had no problems with the bag so far! Rating: - Works as advertised. Love it.I've taken six flights since I bought this bag and it's worked perfectly - I have not been asked to remove my laptop. The storage pockets and dividers are also excellent. I do recommend buying the shoulder strap upgrade for the extra padding - the bag is a little heavy with my 17-inch laptop and long-life battery. Rating: - Works...All I have to say is it fit under the seat as carry-on and I didn't have to take my laptop out of it's case just unzip like it claimed. Just what I was looking for. Since using it (I packed away a Tumi laptop case), I have been able to speed through TSA at all major airports in the USA. No more unpacking....no more pile-ups at the "safe" side of Airport X-ray.
