No reasonable person can argue against the insecurity of many of our American educational institutions. The recent and devastating news of shootings and homicides in our schools and collages has made the public and average citizens extremely concerned about the security measure taken by school officials to combat these bloody crimes. Security cameras are a very powerful mean of fighting these kinds of unfortunate incidents and should be implemented for the benefit of the students, teachers, staff, and property. Some "personal privacy" advocates argue that having security cameras in these facilities might infringe on people's privacy. This might be true to a certain extent, but in order to protect the general public certain limitations must be made pertaining to privacy of individuals. Criminal cases can also be substantially hindered by a security system. Theft, fights, armed attacks, and violence are just a few of the unfortunate scenarios which might befall a large educational facility. You will not be able to know what might inflict your school this year , but the only thing that you can be sure of is that you will have it all captured by your surveillance cameras. The mere existence of your cameras will scare thieves, perpetrators, and criminal activity in general away from the property. However, if criminals do decide to attack, you will also be ready. The cameras will quickly capture their identities and facilitate their capture and prosecution. Security surveillance cameras will also allow you to keep an eye on your working team. This will allow you to find out the hard workers from the slackers and/ or trouble makers. Generally speaking, having a set of security cameras in the area will improve the productivity and spread good conduct amongst the workers, even those with bad intentions, since they will not want to get caught by the cameras. Installing these surveillance devices should not be interpreted as a lack of trust between the managers and the workers but rather, a safety measure to protect the property as well as the workers and to ensure that everything is running as planned. Detection of fires, capturing overnight intrusions, and hindering attacks are also amongst the many uses of security cameras in libraries. Some might argue that it us highly unlikely for a educational institutions to undergo a criminal attack. And that is generally the case, but in case something severe does happen one will not be prepared to face it. The drastically low prices of these security devices along with their ease of installment leave one with absolutely no excuse to not install these cost-effective products in his or her property. Having these cameras will also assist in settling disputes. If a student claims that a school's administrator is misbehaving or the other way around, you will have no way of knowing who is telling the truth and who is lying. However, if you have a set of security cameras a quick view of the record footage will solve the misunderstanding.
